Avocado Smash Tomato Toasts

3 slices whole grain sourdough bread
1 large avocado
½ lemon (juiced)
1 small clove garlic, crushed
1 large tomato
9 fresh basil leaves
salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Cut avocado in half, remove stone, and scoop flesh into small bowl. Add salt, pepper, garlic, and lemon juice. Mash ingredients together with fork until well combined and set aside.
- Toast bread slices. Meanwhile, slice tomato into large slices and cut each slice in half.
- To assemble toast, place avocado mixture onto toasted bread and top with tomato and basil leaves. Cut each toast in half and serve.
