Ingredients
8 oz (225 g) rotini pasta
10.6 oz (300 g) broccoli florets
2 tbsp butter, divided
16 oz (450 g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
12.7 fl oz (375 ml) milk
1 oz (30 g) grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions, reserving 1 cup pasta water. Cook broccoli with your preferred method (e.g., steamed, sautéed, microwaved), then add to cooked pasta.
- In skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter. Season chicken with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until cooked through.
- In same pan, heat remaining butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add flour, stir for 1 minute, then slowly whisk in, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan and combine with pasta, chicken, and broccoli. Add reserved pasta water to loosen sauce, if needed. Serve with extra Parmesan.
