Ingredients

For the burgers:
  1 lb (450 g) 5% lean ground beef
For the salad:
  1 lb (450 g) iceberg lettuce, chopped
  1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  2 tomatoes, chopped
  2 dill pickles, thinly sliced
  4 tbsp burger sauce

Instructions

  • Divide ground beef into 4 patties (about 4 inches wide and 1/2-inch thick). Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Cook burgers for 3 minutes per side. Remove and let rest.
  • In bowls, arrange lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and pickles. Top with patties and burger sauce.
  • Finish with ground pepper and serve immediately.
