Bolognese Spaghetti

Ingredients

1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef
1 ¾ oz (50 g) smoked pancetta, roughly chopped
6 oz (180 g) Bolognese sauce
14 oz (400 g) can chopped tomatoes
10 ½ oz (300 g) dried spaghetti

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil in casserole pan over medium heat. Add beef and pancetta. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring regularly, until browned.
  • Stir in Bolognese sauce and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add tomatoes and pour in 10 fl oz (300 ml) water. Stir.
  • Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain.
  • Toss spaghetti with sauce, divide between bowls, and serve.
