Homemade Electrolyte Drink

1 thumb ginger, chopped
4 oz (120 ml) orange juice
2 oz (60 ml) lemon juice
1 oz (30 ml) lime juice
¼ tsp baking soda
3 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  • In medium pot, combine 32 oz (960 ml) water, ginger, orange juice, lemon juice, and lime juice. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Cautiously stir in baking soda and ¼ teaspoon salt; liquid will foam. Simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup.
  • Strain into heatproof bowl through fine mesh strainer. Serve hot or cold. To chill, cool completely before storing in fridge for up to 5 days.
