Smoky Harissa Chickpeas on Toast

8.5 oz (240 g) can chickpeas, drained
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp ground turmeric
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp harissa paste
2 slices bread, toasted
1 avocado, sliced
lemon juice, to taste

Instructions
- Heat pan over medium heat with 1 teaspoon olive oil. Add chickpeas, paprika, turmeric, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Toss and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until golden and sizzling.
- Stir in almond milk and harissa paste. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, lightly mashing chickpeas. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve on toasted bread topped with avocado and squeeze of lemon.
