1 cup (240g) tomato sauce (passata)
¼ cup (60ml) apple cider vinegar
⅛ tsp. ground allspice
⅛ tsp. ground cloves
¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. sea salt
¼ tsp. black pepper
water, as required

Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into a small pot, place on the stove over a low heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Transfer the ketchup into a glass jar with a tight fitting lid and store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
