Chocolate Chia Granola

Ingredients

6.4 oz (180 g) rolled oats
2.5 oz (70 g) nuts of choice
4 tbsp coconut oil, melted
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp chia seeds
3 oz (85 g) 85% dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C). Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  • Place all the ingredients into a large bowl and stir until well combined.
  • Spread the mixture onto the baking sheet, flattening into an even layer. Press down lightly to ensure the mixture sticks together.
  • Bake in the hot oven for 10 minutes, then remove and gently shake the baking sheet. Alternatively, stir the granola to break it up and ensure an even cook.
  • Return to the oven and bake for a further 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet. Break the granola into chunks and store in an airtight container.
